I’ve had so many people ask me about wedding venues in South Wales because they don’t know where to start! I’m going to share 16 with you today! I have listed them in no particular order:

The St Pierre Hotel is one of my favourite South Wales wedding venues due to the wonderful setting within the Wye Valley. St Pierre Chepstow Hotel is set in 400 acres of beautiful parkland and the grounds around the venue offer fantastic photo opportunities including an extensive golf course and lake. Nestled within the stunning surroundings and beautiful grounds is a charming 11th Century church that offers a traditional church service.
St Pierre is also licensed for civil ceremonies and caters for all tastes.
Cardiff Castle is located in the city centre, so your guests will have plenty of options for accommodations. The architecture and interiors of Cardiff Castle are stunning.
Celtic Manor Resort offers a variety of options for wedding receptions ranging from intimate to large scale
The New House Country Hotel is a luxury South Wales wedding venue offering a garden marquee with views of Cardiff and the Vale or a spectacular function room with views of the Severn Estuary
Ridgeway Golf Club - a wedding venue located between Caerphilly and Cardiff that boasts spectacular views of the Bristol Channel and the Vale of Glamorgan.
Canada Lodge and Lake - one of Wales's best wedding venues. As the name suggests, you can choose between two wedding venues on the edge of a lake surrounded by trees.
Hensol Castle - is a stunning castle wedding venue in South Wales. The venue, which is surrounded by a fifteen-acre serpentine lake, is the perfect place for anyone dreaming of a fairytale wedding
West Usk Lighthouse - The perfect venue for an intimate wedding in South Wales.

Fairy Hill, the sister wedding venue of Oldwalls (also on this list), is a lovely Grade II listed building with an impressive contemporary extension. There are huge curved glass walls that overlook the surrounding woodland.

Margam Orangery is located at the foot of Margam Castle and is a popular place to take wedding photographs. With bright and spacious interiors, the Orangery is a gorgeous building with many windows, so your guests will still be comfortable inside even if it's raining outside.
Miskin Manor is a beautiful old manor house with plenty of space. There are two rooms available for your wedding breakfast, or you can get married in our Medieval Minstrel Hall.
You will have exclusive access to St. Tewdrics, which has recently been renovated and boasts spectacular views of the Severn estuary. Weddings can be held outdoors in The Courtyard, which can accommodate up to 150 guests for the wedding breakfast. There is plenty of room for up to 16 people in the main house and adjacent lodge, and a romantic bridal suite for getting ready for the big day.
Oldwalls is an exclusive wedding venue located in Gower, around 1 hour away from Cardiff. Weddings can be held in the Oakroom, followed by a wedding breakfast in their heated marquee that seats up to 185 people. There are a number of great photo opportunities around the grounds and lake on site.
The King Arthur Hotel is an award-winning wedding venue in Avalon, which has played host to weddings since 2003. Avalon has a high-pitched ceiling supported by an exposed French oak frame and the polished oak floor in the center of the room is bordered by Welsh slate. The beautiful arched windows overlook the surrounding landscaped gardens. It's no surprise that couples come from far and wide to have their weddings at this truly magical venue.
