How to plan your wedding day Timeline: Step by step

PLANNING YOUR WEDDING DAY SCHEDULE AND WHERE TO START?

Setting the timeline is the most difficult part of organising your wedding. This is not the most exciting aspect of a wedding but it is the most important element that will determine whether your photos are successful or unsuccessful.

Stress-free wedding days can be achieved by relaxation. A timeline can be a great tool to avoid stress and panic, There's enough emotion already.

These times can vary depending on the time of your wedding.

While most couples know that my job is to photograph the wedding day, many don't realise the importance of responsibility in this role. We love helping couples get the most out of their South Wales Wedding Photography investment.

A summary of the timeline for weddings

You should be familiar with the key elements of your wedding. You can also add any additional elements that you desire, such as a second glance or additional games. The following elements should be included in your timeline.

Couples Preparation

The first look

The ceremony

Photographs of the bridal party

Photos of the family during the wedding

Portraits of Couples

Step-by-Step Instructions to Create a Killer Bride Timeline

These are the steps to help plan your wedding.

THE TIME OF THE  WEDDING CEREMONY.

We begin at the ceremony and work our way through the rest. For rest, refreshment, and touch up, the bride usually hides around 30 minutes prior to the wedding.

THE FIRST LOOKING

The photographer and the couple will usually decide if they want to do their first glance together. A first-look is something that most couples I work with prefer. It's an intimate, special moment that you can share together. It is almost always done before the ceremony if you are planning on having one.

TRAVEL TIME

Travel time from the reception to the destination should be allowed. To accommodate traffic and emergency situations, you should add 15 minutes to the travel time.

SUNSET TIME

The sun is the most important thing for photographers.
We include sunset photos of couples because they are the best light.
Imagine creating stunning couples portraits by taking a look at the sunset on your wedding day and adding about 30 minutes to the time it sets this creates amazing photos.

WEDDING DAY TIMELINE, AT ONE LOCATION FACTORS TO CONSIDER

Because every wedding has a different start time for bridal prep to the first dance, I have not included timings.
